Previous Page: Next Page: I might have mentioned somewhere that I wanted to portray more examples of Onyx's atypical body language, so here's a minor one in the second to last panel. If he suddenly looks away from you or otherwise won't meet your eye, then he's thinking hard about what you're saying and not at all ignoring you. Eye contact actually makes it harder for him to concentrate in a conversation, so when he looks away he's saying "I hear what you are saying and it's important enough to me that I'm looking away to more easily process it."
It sometimes causes misunderstandings with people who don't know him very well yet.

The way I understand it, it means when people narrow their eyes and look around. (At least, I think that's what it means.) I've honestly never seen that happen in real life, either. It seems so odd.
