ceramic body doll with fake hair, fake fur , beads, and feathers.

this piece was inspired by images of tribal costumes worn by people for cerimonies and hunting. an example of an image would be one on a nationall geographics cover of a man hunting in a marsh with a dried corspe of a white crane on his head to disguise himself.

inspired by such images i wanted to make a fantasy object that was unusuall and provocative

and first her body was more revealed but i added the fur loin cloth (rather than just a fur bikini) and the fur on the unicorn ribs to make her a bit more modest so i could enter her in art contests (i have found that if things are nude or too close to nude they are less likely to get into shows...)

i am very fond of this girl, i find the piece both morbid and beautiful at the same time.
