Background of character: His dad was hero that disappeared when he was 6, during a mission and was never found since then; years later, his mother got married with another man which was clearly not good nature yet she kept the toxic relationship until the end, he did mentally and physically assaulted her, and when Yoarashi was 13, the supposed step-father abused sexually the kid, then didn't take longer and he was found dead by objects that pierced him inside out, his mother was the prime suspect since her quirk could do so, yet she didn't excused herself neither looked back, the only expression in her face was sadness, yet not for her son. After the close of the case, he ended up under his grandmother care, a CEO of a traditional hero company, which the family had unconsciously cut ties after his father's death, his grandmother had no interest in him as person, but educated him well not to embarass herself.
His experiences lead to a mindset that being a hero was not only risky but hypocritical, and justice was just a moral value imposed by society to deal with guilt, just an illusion.

Personality in detail:
Always polite and charming, presents himself as a good listener, that's the facade he likes to keep, which he learned after moving to the Hoozuki house. Despites his careful look, he has a bright bold personality, and is very open minded, has his own sense of justice, pitying or underestimating no one. Since younger, he had always been very independent and responsible for himself, so developed a accurate autocriticism.
His spirit has a lot rougher essence which manifests when he can't stands/he is affraid of not being able to deal with the situation, and he'll do anything to take the "control" over it again. After the murder case, he presented traces of ocd, he had the constant thought of being contaminated, especially after waking up, even now he hasn't fully recoved. He also developed a very secretive side about himself, and is skeptical to rely on people, though he has a naive mind, and simple ways to deal with his hardships/goals and may turn out really easy to read.
