Description Colours lost

Once I dreamed a dream, so soft as a blanket,
Woven of the threads of what was and what would be
Shining in the colours of eternity
Once….

Once I saw an image in the mirror, strong and sure
Made of a thousand doors still unexplored
Reflection of memories and days to come
Once….

Once I felt the cold creeping in
Unseen, in powerful silence
Covering life and heart
Once...

Now the blanket is unravelled
The mirror shattered
Colours lost, spilled on the floor
Now....

Now becomes eternity
A ravine of pain too wide to cross
A soul too pale to fly
Meeting now......

Wow the painting was brilliant on its own but the poem really lifts it. How did you get it so thick is it all paint?

Thanks a lot for the faves, I really appreciate it! Especially for the poem! I hadn't written anything for years, so I am very happy to see, my words touch others as well.

Yes, it is just paint. It's actually rather simple:
Some palettes are made from a different kind of plastic and acrylic paint wont't stick there. You wait until the left over paint has dried and then you can just scrap it of. If the layer of paint it a bit thicker, this is actually easier and you end up with nice colourful pieces of paint. I have folded them up and mounted them with modelling paste on the canvas.

I think I will probably use this in some more paintings.

i was going to scrape my pallet soona anyway i think theres about 3 cm of paint cloged up on it and i think its trippled in weight lol i had never thought of using it though so i might use that idea if thats ok? see if i can make some portraits or somthing hehe. I thought your poem was brilliant i am personly really really bad at creative writing .. and spelling .. you may have noticed XD

Sure, go ahead! Will be interessting to see your work.
I have some ideas for it in my head, but so far I am still playing around with them.

When I felt I had to write, but did not know how, I shrug off that feeling, that it all had to be in a certain format and transmitting the message through hazy words. I just wrote down, what was in my head. Initially I didn't want to upload the poems, but then again why not? Of course it is a great feeling, if others like my words as well but if not....so what? I didn't write them for an audiance anyhow!
