Description I've always wanted to do a step-by-step of how i make my art works, and this one was my favorite one (not cause it's her) because there are different textures i played with along with where i put glowies.

1: Sketch-
I used the pencil tool basically, and just sketched what i wanted. My sketches arn't always complete, sometimes I'll go straight to line art

2: Line Art-
Again, pencil tool, but the 'rough pencil'. I always try my best to keep the lines clean, but there are times that the line tool was much neater.

3: "Undercover" Layer-
This is sort of just a thing i do to because if i have sloppy lineart areas, then the coloring part will look very...idk how to put it, but spacey? because there will be little white spots where the color didn't go, and it just looks so ugly and frustrating. So the dark undercover makes it look like the entire form is completely solid/colored.

4: Flats-
I only put two flats for this as example of when i focus on shading two parts of a character. Because objects in life in general have different textures and surfaces, i focus on the parts that have similar texture properties. This is to keep my mind in one spot and my brushes on the correct settings.

5: Texture/Shading-
Now, you see what I mean by the textures. Using the rough paint brush and water color brush, I shaded the areas where the light hits and where there are rough textures.

6: Glossy Texture:
Using the softest brush (water color) to create glossy texture, usually the easiest part of coloring. Just a bunch of blending. (i love making eye lids look glossy *dies*)

7: Complete Coloring-
Just adding finishing touches like the gold, the blue lights, and such. This part is where I just clean whatever seems messy. (remember the undercover layer? if i remove it, there are a bunch of 'white spaces' everywhere, and this whole pic would look really messy.)

8: Glowies and Shines
This is my favorite part!   I use the glow option when putting these effects, along with an overlay layer to make the character more colorful and appealing. WHEN USING THE GLOW EFFECTS, NEVER USE A LIGHT/BRIGHT COLOR! The glow option makes the color bright for you, using a darker color ( i used a deep ocean blue for her blue glowies) is a better option as you can see from where there is the essence of the glow.
When there is a glowy part, it's going to bounce of whatever surrounds it. If you look at her neck area, you can see where the light hits giving the indication that those lights are bright.
For her eyes though, I used a mixture of a deep color and a light blue color with the glow effect to make her eyes stand out.

And that's basically what i do, Thanks for reading all my babble

alright, the best way to explain it is through my speedpaint SpeedPaint #1 VideoAlrighty ówò here is my first ever speedpaint
hope you guys enjoy uwu (watch from 4:30 to 4:50)

-i make a new layer and fill the entire layer with the color red
-then i go to my lineart layer and select the perimeter of the character
-I go back to the red layer, and delete all of the red from outside the character
-then i shade the layer to a grey color
-and that's my undercover layer

hope that helps ówò
