Description
For 's contest, to design a dress inspired by a pumpkin.I chose to do a ballgown, probably silk duiponi because I love the texture and body, with netting and grosgrain ribbon detailing. The skirt is caught up in three (hopefully) pumpkin-esque puffs with gathers. It's a little hard to see the details, and the color is all wonky from the scanner, but the shape is really the focus of this piece.

I'm so glad it translated well, I wasn't sure . . . You know, "hmm . . . pumpkin inspiration . . . Oooh! Ball gown!" is a bit on the random side.
