Oh, brain... sometimes you come up with some STRANGE ideas!
ANYWAY!!!
Everybody knows the song "Trust in Me" from Disney's the Jungle Book, right?
If not, you ought to see the movie, it is fun!
I was listening to it, and this idea popped into my head.
Inspired in part also by 's 'Movie Night' and my own 'Stay Awake' - [link]
Megamind and Roxanne were watching the Jungle Book again. This time, however, Megamind felt better, and it was a bit later.
Afterwards, Roxanne looked a little...droopy.
"
Are you alright, Roxanne?" Megamind asked.
"Hm?" She asked, looking up. "Oh, yeah, just a little...tired. That's all."
Megamind looked at her concerned. Then an idea occurred to him. He smirked to himself for a moment, then his face softened as he reajusted Roxanne's position.
"What're ya..." she started to say
"Shhh... Trust me." Megamind said, and he began to sing:
Trust in me, just in me
Shut your eyes and trust in me
You can sleep safe and sound
Knowing I am around
He watched her as he sang, rocking her a little. Despite how drowsy she felt, she chuckled. "Cute, partner." she said, yawning. Megamind just blushed and continued
Slip into silent slumber
Sail on a silver mist
Slowly and surely your senses
Will cease to resist
Megamind noticed Roxanne trying to dose off, but her head kept falling down, waking her up just enough to lift it before falling asleep again So he leaned it on to his shoulder "mmm...thanks, part...ner...love you..." she mumbled sleepily as her eyes slid shut for one last time and her mouth fell open. Megamind smiled sweetly, laying his head against hers as he finished

Shut your eyes and trust in me
He looked at her, remembering all the times he had kidnapped her. He had never, ever, EVER thought that anything like this would ever happen without the spray.
Ofcourse, he also had never, ever, EVER had thought that he would be Metrocity's hero OR actually end up with Roxanne, and he had, so far, been proven wrong on both counts.
Oh, well... She still looked beautiful like that.
He kissed her lightly on her cheek, causing a slight moan and a twitch at the corner of her mouth as she tried to smile, but was too zonked to.
