The cruelty of human beings knows few bounds, and this is proof: to suffer so much in the hopes of easing the pain, only to be betrayed at the end. Now all they can do is pick up the pieces and hope they'll be enough . . . .

This page is the end of PART ONE of this comic/manga/thing. There IS a part two! This story isn't done, and like hell I'm ending it on a note like this. I need a chance to regroup and consider how to approach the next part, as it's a bit more complicated. (When the hell did this turn into a megaproject, anyway? It was supposed to be a three-page fling, not a monster!) XD

I've always preferred working in monochromatic tones to color, since my color sense blows chunks. I'm getting to where I really enjoy doing things simple like this in oC. I'm so proud of these last three panels. Especially the last one. XD Reeve needs a hug. (Vincent needs a hug too. And some psychotherapy.)

Let me know how you've liked this comic so far! I'll be tweaking things a bit, but I'll probably work off the same principles I used for this part. if you have any suggestions on art style, technique, or just stuff in general, feel free to shout! Can't guarantee I'll use them, as the story's pretty set, but you never know. :3
