We used to sit under the tree u and me .

We used to stay up late on the phone gossiping.

When we where young and naive we looked at each other and said

"Nothing will ever come between us best friends until the end."

I used to know everything about you and you about me.
I used to come knocking at your door with out an invite.

We used to be best friends forever.

Then we got into high school and everything changed.

You let a guy who was not worth it stand between us.
You let what we had, the friendship that happens only once in a life time die.

                         Maybe I should blame myself...

but sometimes I look at the phone wanting to call.

     Do you ever want to call?

   I sometimes drive past your house wanting to knock for old times sake .

              Do you ever want to knock?

       I sometimes think she knows all my secrets she was my best friend when it mattered

                              Do you ever think that it mattered ?

I look at you now and see how you've changed.

You left me in the dust since your ride wasn't waiting.

We were supposed to be best friends.

Best friends forever.

Well forever came to an end long before I planned.

Forever seems like never for me now,

Best friends forever, best friends until the end.

I guess promises don't matter especially when there's a boy involved, friends become unimportant, family comes second and promises comes dead last.

Best friends no longer , forever ended , so much faster then I dreamed.
