Description I don't own anything to do with Sgt Frog or Keroro Gunso (no matter how much I wish...)

Koyuki Azumaya gone evil! This one was hard...I'm no good at drawing hands....and the mask was to cover the fact I had no idea how to do her mouth.

I've only heard the title of Sgt. Frog, but I'm unfamiliar with the contents of the series. That being said, I may say some things that don't comply. Feel free to ignore them if something about the character doesn't work with what I say.

Out of all three deviations already posted, this one stood out to me the most. This image has the darkest shading on it-especially in the hair and the kunai knives. This gives the picture contrast. Make the darkest parts of the image as dark as possible, and the lightest parts of the image as light as possible. When this happens, the image pops and becomes more striking. It generates more interest, which is what caught my eye in the first place. Simultaneously, it's good that there's some shading in between dark and light (but not dominating the piece). Images that are just black and white may have too much contrast. Find a balance that works.

Hands are hard to draw for alot of people, including myself. There's alot of detail in a smaller part on the body. It's difficult to portray them. Luckily, this picture is a close-up. There's alot of space to hash out details. Plus, she's showing the back of her hands. There's not alot of work. My advice for drawing hands is to recreate this pose infront of a mirror, or have someone else do it for you. If there aren't any actual kunai knives around, get some pencils and stick them between the fingers, because hands look a bit different empty. After that, observe, and practice drawing them a couple times. If doing this isn't possible, try searching the web for photographs. If none show up, use other artists' work for last resort.

Because of the mask, and that I don't know what exactly her emotion is (anger or evil smile?), I can only give some advice for mouths in general. As I said before, using a mirror or a model is still helpful. Draw the lips a couple of times. Then look for photography of Japanese people on the internet that are close to her age (considering the name, I'm assuming she's Japanese. Correct me if I'm wrong). Draw them. After that, look up other artists' work. Don't limit yourself to anime/manga. Generally, the mouth is halfway between the nose and chin. I'm guessing her mouth will be around the area where the thumbs begin.

Throughout the image, there are markings. They like white lines when the pencil rubs over them. Alot of them are on her gloves, around the kunai, and the top part of her mask. I'm guessing that these lines were made with pencil pressing hard on the paper, erased, and then shaded over. I don't know how to get rid of them, but they can be prevented. When figuring out a how a drawing should look, draw lightly first. It's easier to correct mistakes, and it won't make a dent in the paper.

Whatever you decide to do, good luck.
