Physical Description: Currently scrawny and lithe from a sudden and strong growth spurt. Mostly legs and thin body but a broad chest and long tail accentuate his form. As he ages, he will fill in a bit to be a gentle balance between athletic and brawny - neither overly strong or overly spry. Long, silky fur accentuates his cheeks, ruff and britches though his fur is shorter and silky on the rest of his body. His tail's fur is midlength and silky as well. Tall ears and large eyes mark his triangular-wedge shaped head while his legs and tail will continue to be longer than the average wolf due to his bloodlines.

Personality:
Courageous/Bold: Riker has the propensity to face great challenges and violence without backing down. He would defend those he cared about and his pack even if his own life was in danger. There is little that would stop the young wolf in the face of danger. Besides - he has a grizzly for an uncle; who's gonna stop him?
Honest/Truthful: Honesty is the best policy and Riker holds this close to his heart. He chooses to be honest in all situations and is willing to take his punishments if his truthfulness puts him into trouble. An honorable young wolf Riker will grow to be a noble wolf should he continue this path of honesty.
Dedicated/Responsible: As true to his word in body and spirit, Riker is dedicated to anything he chooses to put his mind to. growing to be loyal to the Na''emmai as his lessons continue Riker is the type to put in 110% into any task or lesson sent his way. Excited for tasking and beginning to become fascinated with the Na''emmai way after an accident that put things into perspective he's more open-minded now as an adolescent than as a pup.
Intelligent/Quick Learner: Born with a quickly expanding mind and the curiosity to support that same mind, Riker is quick to learn and remembers what has been learned quickly. Able to take on tasks and figure out problems without much prompting gives him an advantage in situations that need a great deal of thought to complete. He also is willing to share his opinion and intelligence with others to help solve complex problems for the well-being of the pack.
No Longer Relevant Stolid: Not one to reveal any emotion on the outside, Riker is a rather closed book with a rather serious expression most of the time. His bursts of random excitement came to a crashing halt after his accident and when he feels the need to express himself he will withdraw somewhere alone in order to keep his emotions to himself. One might think that Riker no longer has the ability to feel anything anymore as if the accident itself had changed the wolf beyond recognition on the inside.

Open/Emotional: After revealing his story to Duston and opening up to the golden wolf, Riker found himself opening up more to other wolves and has since lost his stolid nature. More vulnerable because of this, Riker sometimes avoids interacting with others or tries to deflect questions that make him uncomfortable. Still, he remains the wolf he once was - strong and truthful.

Observant: A rather quiet wolf now, Riker has quickly learned to put his senses to good use with his surroundings. He has quickly learned that the smallest movements of another wolf could divulge their mood or feelings and he has begun to take note. After his accident he has learned to keep an ear and eye out for danger and the slightest sign of something going wrong. Riker fears that the next accident could be his last.
No Longer Relevant Independent/Withdrawn: While often working to help the whole of the pack Riker is still very much an independent wolf. He rarely opens up to others and prefers the company of nature than that of other wolves. He can come off as withdrawn or standoffish based on his stolid nature but when he is alone is when Riker truly becomes Riker. Sometimes he resents the family feeling of the rest of the pack because he feels he can never truly embrace it with his nature to be independent.

Clingy/Dependent: Riker feels obligated to Duston after the golden alpha had welcomed him into Onni despite his past actions. Slowly, he became enamoured with the golden wolf and as he had made friends, he’s become clingy toward them and feels dependant on the pack around him. He remains in the pack and will defend them - to lose those he calls friend would be devastating to him and would trigger his vengeful nature.
Stubborn/Hard-headed: When Riker makes a decision there is no turning back. The young wolf will stick to his guns stubbornly even if it meant losing friends or the respect of others should his opinion stand as wrong. Only a catastrophic event can change the young wolf's mind and even then it is likely to still hold true. This trait makes it even harder for the young wolf to make and keep friends in the pack and he refuses to change his ways.

Resentful: Growing up without his father and seeing the way that other wolves seem to get along so well has led to a lot of resentment in the young wolf. He doesn't have a lot of love for those who overlook him on purpose and wishes that he could change in order to be included which increases his feelings of anger and hatred for others who don't see eye-to-eye.

Judgmental/Vengeful: If Riker is wronged in any way and he views it as being wronged, he is unlikely to let it go. He will brood and boil, likely to take his revenge on the wolf who had wronged him if it was the last thing he did. He is also likely to prejudge others based on the opinions he's given by another he looks up to - which can be difficult to change once his mind is made up about what kind of wolf the other is. A horrible trait to have it is one that Riker still to this day has yet to find a way to control or deal with constructively.

Pre-Group History:
Riker was born to Killian and Scarlett in a moment of heated passion for the two wolves grew up together holding a sibling-like bond with one another though they were not siblings of blood. Scarlett being in heat and Killian giving in created the young wolf and his three other siblings during the times of the Howahkan war brought to the Na''emmai's borders by a wronged Alphess. During the final battle and before their birth, Killian was lost in the fray and considered dead by the pack - a casualty of war. As winter came Riker was brought into the world by Scarlett and a bittersweet reminder of his father was lit in every one of the pups. Riker was the first born and instilled with the same confidence of a first-born pup as he fought for the best teat to feed from and pushed the others out of the way - the first signs of a selfish path for the self-indulged wolf.

As a bubbling, boisterous pup Riker was shaping up to be very similar to his father in terms of his behavior and selfishness. But like any other pup he also enjoyed the stories shared by the pack and his mother as well as playing with his siblings. There was a time and a place for everything but he chose to throw out the sage warnings given to him by the words of the Na''emmai traditions as his recklessness continued to grow and his self-indulgence grew with it. Scarlett's other adopted brother, Arctus was a grizzly bear which the pups were allowed to meet and play with. Riker gained a sense of invincibility from the fact that his uncle was so large and so feared by other wolves. What could go wrong and who could stop him when his uncle was such a fearsome creature? Nothing - as far as Riker was concerned.

Winter gave way to spring and the rainstorms came and went. Still Riker grew without much changing his stubborn mind. As the parched soil softened by the touch of much needed rain, there was talk of wolves swept away by raging waters in the river and while curious Riker approached the Vein of Spirits and played on the rocks. His luck held and he was not swept away that time. Or the next. With each passing dare of himself to become bolder and riskier with his life and limb, there seemed to be no creature on this earth that would calm the storm that was leading Riker astray from the ways of the Na''emmai and onto a possibly dark and lonely path.

Summer came and the daringness of adolescence brought Riker to the most dangerous and daring moment of his life - and also the one that would change him forever. Climbing up the steep, narrow trail that led to the Nativity Falls by himself the young wolf thought it would be a great story to tell if he could hop from one rock to the next over the rocks that jutted between the falls. His first few jumps were successful but on the fourth something terrible happened. With the earth below so saturated and unstable the rock gave way; in fact much of the side of the falls crumbled including parts where the water didn't fall down. Riker tumbled with them, terror in his eyes as his claws and paws scraped desperately to slow his fall against the side of the mountain.

The Ancestors were looking out for the young wolf however and he was saved by none other than the Coven himself. It was at this moment that something changed inside of Riker and broke part of the chain of darkness that was fueling his behavior. Resolving to try and become a better wolf for the pack and to be a better wolf in general Riker redoubled his efforts to learn the ways of the Na''emmai as well as calm his selfish indulgences. It was a lot of time and effort but Riker is slowly becoming more of a wolf that perhaps his father and the Coven would be proud of. Only time would tell if his angry outbursts and vengeful behavior would also subside but in the meantime Riker is looking forward to his Tasking Ceremony and serving the pack to make his mother and Coven proud.
