Woody and Jessie, a calaveras promenade!I think I'd like to make a tradition of drawing something for Dia de los Muertos every year. It's one of my favorite holidays: all the fun and decadence of Halloween, except instead of treating our dead like bogeymen, we celebrate them. Living it up, I guess, because it doesn't last. But who knows what kind of fun the dead are having. C:
I want to get some little Toy Story figures and paint 'em up like calaveras. Bullseye, especially! Who will do it with me? You'll have my love forever!

I absolutely love this! Not only is Toy Story my elementary classroom theme, I am a Spanish Immersion teacher and Dรญa de los Muertos is big on my things to do in class. Can I get permission to print this and make a poster for my classroom?

that's a toughie! If you want to trigger MY ASMR, all you need to do is suggest a slow, feathery touch, usually with the back of the fingertips. Especially across the shoulders and back of the neck, or the naked pale bits on the wrong sides of the arms. Or breath. Breath is good.

Dia de los Muertos is one of my favorite holidays, as well. I've twice made up my face like a candy skull, and I'm looking forward to doing so again!
Given the whole calaveras subject matter of this piece, it had instantly won a place in my heart, but there's so much more that makes it special! I love that it isn't just a picture of one skeleton-ized character, but two, acting like those skeleton couples, decked out in clothes which you've done a fantastic job of imitating here, like in traditional Mexican art.
Additionally, I adore your comment about why you like this holiday so much! I couldn't put it better myself, though, I did consider quoting you at some point.

Woohoo, that celebration is coming in a couple of days! If I only I had a sombrero, I'd wear it into uni and try and encourage my fellow students to celebrate it with me
This is a gorgeous piece of work, you're definitely a very talented artist. I love the colours on their clothes, I just can't stop observing every detail of the patterns. Even their face paint is entrancing. I especially love how you've mixed in mexican culture with the cowfolk, because I've always liked that idea

I can't really stop anyone from getting a tattoo of whatever they want, but I would strongly urge that person to re-think their choice, or at least wait six months to be sure it was something they wanted.

For my birthday, my sis and her boyfriend bought me a small set with Woody, Jessie and Bullseye for me to paint. I am totally going to do it Besides, the Jessie has one eye that's wandering off in another direction. ;D

OMG! I did Dia de Los Muertos makeup for Halloween at my highschool and slicked back my hair. And Jessies makeup looks just like mine did! I had the green petals around my eyes, red circles on my lips, the teardrops on my chin, everything! This is so cool!

Red is a movie that came out recently. It's about a group of retired CIA agents who're trying to figure out who's put out a hit on them.
I thought it was pretty good. Bruce Willis is in it... It has a lot of character power.

This is so appropriate for my life right now! The Art History Club I am in at my university had an altar for "Day of the Dead" dedicated to Picasso, we sold skulls and candles. And today Toy Story came out on dvd! You are my soul mate right now
