My friend Miin and her boyfriend came to stay with me for a little while, and I was just astounded by Miin's beauty in every respect. She's so genuine that when I first met her, I was suspicious. She's intensely, effortlessly positive, and she radiates love and goodness like a space heater. Get near her and you just feel better.Miin's a world traveler, and it seems like she's afraid of nothing, especially love. She sows and gathers and cultivates it as she goes. I just really needed to draw her.

i'm a-blushin' my lovely, and what a great song, perfect really. ALL of you who have commented on this post are truly embodiments of love, and even though we've never met, i feel blessed to have you say such wonderful things about me, which is a reflection of the fact that YOU yourselves are warm hearted, open minded, loving people who i'm sure emanate positivity to those around you each and every day. never underestimate yourselves! lily my dearest one, i apologise if i did not gush about this piece enough because i seriously love it to BITS, it's the most flattering thing that anyone has ever done for me... and it just makes my EXISTENCE to know that you are my soul sister, that we will always be friends, and together in some way. i am truly blessed and lucky and so full of love knowing you are in my life, srsly (as they say on the interwebs these days)..
i hope one day to repay you in kind somehow but i am not much of an artist.. however, i feel a song coming on!! (bought a new geetar today!) *watch this space*

I adore people like that. You're very lucky to know her. I think the red glasses really say a lot about her personality. When I had the chance to buy some for myself, I chickened out. She probably wears them everyday with pride.

She bought those glasses in a street market in like Hong Kong or someplace, and she had an eyeglass maker fit them with her prescription. They're so great, and totally her. I used to wear these orange lucite glasses, but man... That hasn't suited me for ten years.

I love the colors you've given Miin. The bright yellow-orange and the purple compliment and accent perfectly--from this you can really tell that Miin is a bright, caring, compassionate person. Wonderful execution of this piece!

Thank you! I wanted the colors to be just right. She's such a rainbow -- she was always wearing crazy colors together, indicative of her personality, just like my little sister. How funny; I'm always in gray. It's my favorite color. I wonder what that says about a person?

That's such a great thing, to be beautiful inside and out like Miin and your sister. I find gray not to be a depressing or a color that drags you down; to me, gray is a soothing, comforting color because it is neutral and doesn't demand that you pick a side like black or white. Instead, it is a warm, inviting color that you can feel safe in. Personally, I am a rich earth-tones kind of girl--and I love to pair them with black. Earth tones, for me, are a representation of the earth that I love so dearly, because I'm Native American, and I can also strongly identify them with my religion--Native American Paganism--as well as feel confident and strong when I wear them. I believe that colors are a good representation of personality, or even something in your psychological subconsciousness. For example, I always find that people who dress in all black and goth-like clothing are missing something in their life, so they try to subconsciously make people around them aware of this by displaying the aching black hole with the way they dress. Colors and clothing have much more meaning than people realize.
