(loud exasperated sigh before clapping hands together) Forgive me for the bad title, I couldn't think of anything better at the moment.
Okay, I actually drew this at the start of the year, but I was straight up avoiding anything that would lead me to talk about this show until the hate mob died down. Do I like the show? Well... yes and no. Yes, because I do like the character designs (some less than others, *cough*Sage*cough), the background art is really pretty at times, the general "idea" of Terraspheres COULD work, the opening and ending songs are pretty catchy, and the LGBT rep is kinda nice. And no, because this show is the literally embodiment of "great ideas, bad execution", aka wasted potential. The writing is awful, characters act OOC for the case of plot convenience *cough*SAGE*cough* , the world building and magic system makes no sense, and the story wastes too much time on things that don't lead to anything important. And I know there are other shows out there that did what HGS was trying to do way better, The Owl House, for example. And that's ignoring all of the real world drama this show had, which I won't discuss here.

But at the same time, this show is a great teaching tool of what NOT to do when creating a fantasy series with an overarching plot, which is what I'm doing with the series I want to create, being Nirvana's Army. I have rewatched the show a few times from last year to now, simply because I hit a road block on the chapter I'm drafting for my series, and I need some ideas to inspire me to continue writing. I just want it to be known that I don't hate this cartoon. I know it's bad, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying it to a certain extent. Trust me when I say it's not the worst thing I've ever watched. I watch and enjoy Fairy Tail and Miraculous Ladybug, two series that people either hate or the writing isn't great or both. Call it a guilty pleasure, I guess.

The drawing is just a redraw from a scene from the opening. This shot of the four girls is kinda cute and I wanted to see what it would look like in my art style. The only details I added was adding a gradient of blush on all their face, and having Rosemary and Sage's cheeks squeezed together to imply them being besties (or girlfriends since the creator ships them together).
