Finally I had the time to do a serious rose job. I told you I would do something new with my roses this year and now this is it what I had in mind: A painted rose with REAL color attached! Used some of my acrylics to do it and then took the pictures.This is my first try on it and I have planned to give it some more tries. How do you like the idea?

Vision - It's a beautiful image. It makes me think of Alice in Wonderland...you know painting the roses red.
Originality - It only lost half a star because it seems like the favorite subject is those roses that are made rainbow by injecting dye into the stems. I like that this is still a new image that I haven't seen before. I've seen painted roses and rainbow roses but nothing with the type of execution you used. You went all out.
Technique - The color is beautiful. The clarity and the depth of field is perfect. The only problem I had with it was the angle and it really isn't a problem. It might just be personal preference. Did you take any other angles of the rose? I would be interested in seeing another angle. A side view might be dramatic.
Impact - It's a beautiful image and a beautiful idea.

This is very interesting. I've never seen someone photograph a painted rose. Reminds me of Alice in Wonderland, but that's what's charming about it. I like it!
