Description My time turner (if only it really worked!).

I love the concept of the time turner, and in HP 3, when Harry saw himself and thought he was his dad, it made me tear up. Jo is brilliance itself, and I think the time turner's possible consequences are one of the best ideas she had.

Nice pic!
Funny, it's the same reason HP3 is my favourite book and film out of the lot! I have a thing for time travel and when I first read that chapter where Harry is waiting for his dad to appear and then realises it was himself that saves them sent shivers down my neck.

I also love that Jo's theory suggest nothing actually "changes" with time travel. When I re-read the book I noticed little clues of future Harry and Hermione being there in the hall when the original ones were going to Hagrids.

Thank you!

Yes, the time travel gives me chills every time! It's so beautiful and bittersweet.

I'll have to go back and look around for clues; I haven't noticed any, but then I never thought to look.

Hi again. I found it, it's in chapter 16 when they are about to go to Hagrid's - "They heard a last pair of people hurrying across the hall and a door slamming." Then later in chapter 21 after they go back in time - "Hermione seized Harry's arm and dragged him across the hall to the door of a broom cupboard; she opened it, pushed him inside amongst the buckets and mops, followed him in, then slammed the door behind them."

So cool! hehe

Really wicked time turner . Beautiful taken photographs it gives a peaceful look with the natural colours and the butterfly on top
I agree with you it would be cool if the time turner would really work .

I bought one myself as well it game with a part of the chess set which is based on the Harry Potter films. It's a toy form.

Yeah, if it worked I'd be turning back time often for the same reason Hermione did - homework! I think that the lesson JKR gives us with the time turner is that you must rely only on the present moment, not dwelling on the fixed, immutable past.

Is yours fullsize? Mine is, but its not metal. There is one that is just like the movie time turner, but it's about $100. wow!

That's a cool idea to use it for homework . You've got a point there. It's not good to be stuck in the past. It's better to look forward no matter what has happened in the past.
Although at the very same it is easier said than done.

Mine is over sized it's not a necklace thing it's a big toy one. I will post a picture up of it when i've time which will be very soon .
awesome that there is one as in the movie. it's a lot of money but at the other hand i would love to have one like that.

MagicoffMusic In reply to lilynoelle [2008-07-09 04:11:31 +0000 UTC]

I know you would . I would do that too . The only shame is that they hardly sell any good thing where i live about the Harry Potter films, the only things they sell here where i live are: posters, soundtracks and the DVD's and that's it. I've to go on holiday to get the good and cool stuff from the Harry Potter films.
Who doesn't want to have a replica of the time turner. I can't think of anyone of who wouldn't.

look online: The Noble Collection. They have the greatest collection on HP replicas I have ever seen. They have the prophecy, house pins, everyone's wands, the philosopher's stone, timeturners, Hermione's earrings, Luna's earrings, Slytherin and Gryffindor merch, scarves, ties, crystal balls, the golden egg, statues of dobby and thestrals, and MUCH more! Look it up and let me know what you think. It makes me wish I was rich. Actually, tho, much of it is not too expensive. Someday I want to buy the Slytherin pewter beerstein. And other things. You'll be in Hogwarts heaven, I promise!
