Thanks!These days I read several books about Kingdom of Polish-Lithuanian Union and... ya know, the spirit, beauty, and fiery chivalry of Poland's poetry let me into that period of time soooo much

About XVI century Poland and Lithuania had troubles with their own people.. kind of anarchy. Both countries were slowly getting paralyzed, and even despite that could defend from three wars in one time XD.
But I imagine that situation as fever, sickness that slowly immobilized them. That's why I'm talking about void in sight - slowly not aware what's going on around.
