beautiful work, as always.. the drawing is great, love the choice in colors, contrasting warm with cold, to highlight the mood. i also like the sense of motion the lines give... both for falling and rising at the same time.. the perfect stasis. complemented with the hourglass..
the poem itself is beautifully written.. love how the words roll smoothly as you read them.. capturing a sense of frailty and indecision.. and a sort of melancholy and maybe some frustration.
why platonic though? are you insinuating at platonic love? or is it platonic idealism? the art piece could work either way, don't you think?

The main idea backing this up is a merger between August Rodin's "The Thinker" and the classical "To Be or Not To Be" stance.
As for the meaning behind platonic, I find it is a very interesting concept, originally conceived by the Greek philosopher Plato.
You are right, "platonic" can either refer to the perfect state of love or the perfect state of mind...I guess one sort of comes along with the other.
