Gosh, it's been a while, but i finally drew a new Laephyn myself!

Laephyns are fey folk that are part plant, and part amphibious, but they also have another special ability -

Swim-Flying:

- They close their eyes, concentrate, and shift partially into another vibrational frequency so that it the air feels as thick as water to them.

- The feelers, leaves and fins, and some of the nerves in their toes and soles act as special sensors that transmit three-dimensional data to their brains that give them a type of vision that is much more accurate and aware than human sight.

- They flutter their arms and tails "above" their heads for propulsion, aiming their flight-path with their legs and hind-leaves.
(In essence, they fly kinda like an up-turned Powdered Toast Man - feet first!)

The universe is made up of nothing more than different vibrational fields (everything, matter and energy both). Just think of it as stations on a radio - our brains (and all our senses) are tuned to specific frequencies, and can only see a tiny fraction of the universe around us. Only one set of radio stations are available to our senses - which is why we can't just hear radio stations in our heads constantly - even though they are constantly there, around us, running through our bodies as we do anything, or go anywhere - our senses just aren't tuned to their frequencies, or dimensions.
So, based upon this scientific fact, Laephyns have the ability to change their "radio-dials" to another vibrational frequency in order to fly like mentioned above!.

It's fun coming up with scientific explanations for "magical" happenings. Makes it so much more interesting, and more magical, to me!
(unless they involve midiclorians...)

Oh, and i realize this is very similar to my Dryad Wind drawing, but i totally didn't have it in mind when this idea popped in there.
