whaddup page 12. goodbye heart shaped box.thoughts:
-yeah. he threw the dang box off the roof. why did so many people want him to keep it anyway? i was confused. i mean this thing obviously haunts the crap out of the lad. he doesn't look at it and think happy thoughts, he looks at it and thinks about what he could've had but didn't. and what's the point of storing it away in a box so it can gather dust? just so he can unearth it in 10 years and be like 'aw what great memories?'
he doesn't need this freakin box to remember the great times he had with Terra. they're in his head. and right now, Terra has obviously moved on while he hasn't. and that sucks. this thing represents their kindof sortof relationship, and throwing this it is just a step in the right direction for him. throwing the box doesn't mean that he never wants to think about Terra again. it just means that he's ready to start letting go of the thought of him and her being together. why should he keep angsting over her if it's never gonna happen? it's not fair to him.
- whyy would raven ever stop him from throwing it? it's his, he made it, and she's not the type of person to intrude on or question these types of decisions made by her friends...
- I don't hate Terra. I used to, but now i kind of appreciate her. maybe in an alternate reality her and bb could've worked out. they had their cute moments. but in this universe the odds were ever not in their favor. yea.
-do i think throwing a heart shaped box will make beast boy magically get over her just like that? no. these things take time, but raven pretty much told him that his friends would help him get through it, so he felt ready to give up the dang box.
-the look on their faces in the last panel is not 'i luuuuhhrve you'. it's more like, 'i feel kind of relieved' and 'i'm proud of you.' don't worry, the bb/rae comics shall come later. i think these two need to grow up a little before they can work as a couple. but this experience (in my head canon) probably bonded them a little and that's a step in the right direction, right?

Terra, for all intents and purposes is dead. Everything that made her what she was originally is gone: personality, experiences, memories, etc.
I'm a BBRae fan and I agree. Both of them have some growing up to do before they can be together. While the empath does help Beast Boy get through the pain of Terra's metaphorical death, she cannot replace Terra. That's a dilemma to be addressed, for sure.

A gift does not become pointless same as your feelings for someone will remain so do the value of what was gifted. Beast Boy especially, since he's extremely sentimental and emotional. He would NOT toss a gift that was given to him. Especially since HIS Terra doesn't "want nothing to do with him". Her MEMORIES are missing. How is that Terra or Beast Boy's fault. And knowing it isn't Terra's fault, Beast Boy would NEVER destroy something that was giving to him from the heart.

This is by far the best Teen Titans fanfiction I've seen. Everyone is in character, the drawing is great, and it really gives a less bitter ending to Things Change without undermining the core message of the episode or going into convoluted nonsense that you often see with Terra getting her memories back or whatever. It's also nice to see subtle and coherent Beast Boy + Raven stuff without having to hear about Raven wangst about allegedly "not being able to feel" (where was that in the show?) or being totally out of character in other ways (either too happy or too moody/angsty). Well done.
I really liked the ways Robin (first berating him and then asking if he's OK), Cyborg (offering help to Beast Boy, but on Beast Boy's terms) and Starfire (being overly enthusiastic) all try to cheer him up. It was so in-character, well-drawn and befitting of the show's tone that it seemed directly lifted off the show.

It was in the show in the episode about the mirror it's described that she cannot feel without destroying everything around her did you not watch that episode and secondarily Beastboy giving up on anything is way the fuck out of his character he just give up if he did the brotherhood of evil would've won

I began loving Raven's character a little more as I see more to her. Other than seeing her as the sarcastic, gothic girl, she also strikes me as the "voice of reason." Many things she says are true. I really love how she's there for Beast Boy in his time of need. He did the same for her when she made the horrible discovery of Malchior's lies. I love these two a lot.
Letting go of the past is never easy, but once you make the step in doing so, you'll heal in time. Beast Boy may have lost Terra, but he still has his friends who "are" with him and will stand by him, and he'll do the same for them.

That's the closest BB's come to smiling around anybody since he got back from that high school, and that's also the closest Raven could get to a smile when talking about something Terra related after the Aftershock episodes. This is the first few seconds of healing for the both of them, as a budding couple, showing. it's small, but it's a good sign.

And they just happen to both be completely out of character as is slade he would never not take a chance to corrupt one of the Titans he would totally talk about how he could bring her memory back and if Beastboy just works for him he'll give him everything he's ever wanted how his team never respects him and thinks he's a joke he'd use this to his advantageΒ

The only other alternate TT reality I can think of at the moment is the comics and in those, Terra was an evil bitch. Compared to comic Terra, animated series Terra was a saint.
