I fav'd this quite a while ago but never managed to comment on it.  It is just heart wrenchingly beautiful in every sense of the word.  I feel like I've been punched in the heart!

I must ask is this artwork based off any fan fiction?  Because I really feel there is a story behind this and I find it deeply inspirational...
