For some reason, this piece really reminds me of China Miéville's books "Iron Council" and "Perdido Street Station", particularly with the fusion of metal and man. This would make fantastic cover art.

Now this is the sort of thing I keep hoping I'll see somewhere around here when I go hunting for art to inspire me. I've seen so very, very few who use vectors to make anything remotely original and creative.

I love the human figure. I think it is the most satisfying thing to incorporate into a piece, and you do a fantastic job of it. Not only do you have a very unique way of rendering, but the environments that you create for the figures portray such intense emotions that they really bring the viewer deep into the piece. I can't wait to learn more about vector art. I'm taking a class in it next quarter.

Interesting how changing and adding a few elements can change the look of the piece! My fave would still be the first, I prefer the colours and the sparsity of the additonal elements below him. This one has more of a cutaway feel at the bottom, and the perspective on the wire-lines really makes him look like some kind of angel stationed on a watch over humanity looking awfully bored. I really love both pieces though. Any chance of either of them becming prints? This is the sort of thing I'd love to see hung on my wall.
