Page 3 of my 4 page comic. The background starts looking up in this one! I'm very proud of my sunset. I also love Zuko's tears of inner pain. Poor little guy.

So, this comic thinger is taking place a few months after Zuko's mother left. Iroh has returned to the palace after losing Lu Ten. In my mind, I think Zuko may have degressed quite a lot after losing his mother because he suddenly has nobody on his side. He's got Azula who abuses him and his father who either ignores or scorns him. There's nobody around to really make him feel loved or worth anything. At first he doesn't really even have Iroh who is still in a bit of a stupor from losing his son and has been pretty much a zombie. In this story, they both kinda realize that they have each other to lean on.
