She waits in silence
in the dark corners
where corners
do not exist
for the thought of a touch
just the thought.

It takes him in his dream
he thinks of her, lost -
and in the other room
she steps through
no longer bound within
the boundless.

She waits in silence
within the shadows
of his room
knowing

she can only reach him
in his dreams,
the place from which
he cried out
for her to come

The price she knew
before she left the silvered pain

She has learned to see well
and speaks to him in whispers
through his dreams
in the quiet, quiet, dark.
