Thats absolutely fantastic. The entire thing. Neither one detracts from the other which is good. The stage is just right. Brilliant work.

Thank you! I have to really push myself on settings. I'm the kid who only colored the main figure on all the pages in the coloring book.

Thank you sooo much! You can't imagine how I struggle with the small details. And settings are my weakness.

The piece I sent you is alot bigger than most of my sculpts. I struggle with the bigger ones. People keep telling me they are easier but they never have been for me. It's probably because I'm fairy sized myself. I have little bitty hands and fingers.

I did!
Thank you so much!
Glittering stuff I have a plenty.
Nobody can come anywhere near me without walking away with fairy dust all over them.

Oh that sounds really cool! Wow!
Yes I do want some. In fact I was just thinking of planing out a piece cause I wanted to do a Marie Antonette bust and I wanted a shadow box for it. The bust would probably be 5" tall and Id want and inch or so all around her and the box part should be deep enough. If shes base relief 2 inches would be plenty but, if I can do a full bust then probably deeper to be safe. Um how about 6x 8 back and four sides 2x6 and 2x8? is that right? LOL whatever you can send I can work around to get it to work. You should try selling the stuff on etsy! I bet it would work for paper clay BJD cores too.
yeah sometimes you have to splurge. Just make sure you get what you deserve for her! I have to learn that too.

Pfft. I don't think I ever get what I deserve. I don't really know how to do it. I still think of them like my children. So glorious and beautiful. Even when in reality they might be mediocre. I just can't see it. Ya know.
When I get back to Hawaii in August I will shoot you an email and you can give me your address and I will send you some foam sheets to work with.

you make the teatre and the doll or only the doll?

LindaJaneThomas In reply to AllyChanN1 [2010-06-13 01:36:13 +0000 UTC]
Both. I sculpted the doll. Then I tried my hand at making a theater stage. I had a foam board and cut out the pieces. Then I wall papered them with what you see and added all of the little odds and ends. The last thing I added was the silk curtains and the little bulbs.
