Yes,.. this one refused to wake up for me. Or. was just ignoring me. lol

Oh my gosh, people!!! I can't Believe I got pictures of SWANS - which I have Neverrr seen in our area before. But as most of you know, I always dreamed of getting pictures of, (just never thought it would ever actually happen for me! ) (Thank you, God!!! )

Yesterday morning, Jack and I went to the park, Jack stayed at the car having a smoke and I walked down a usual path I take, but then a feeling overwhelmed me and told me to take a slight turn and go further that way, ( I could just feel it that something was meant for me to find,.. if any of you have ever had that happen to you then you know just what I'm talking about... I just couldn't imagine what,. so my heart was beating a little wildly.. ( and also with being all alone in a wooded area so early in the morning hours, lol )
So I arrive at this scene, and I'm looking out onto the water, and I did not even see them at first for some moments (all that white, I guess, and they were also very still) ,.. and with the gray ones bent down as they were, sleeping.. - those, were a double joy for me to realize were there! And when my eyes did start to focus when one moved, I was incredulous "oh my gosh, are those SWANS"?!!! And I started snapping away, wildly, (so afraid they'd leave. ) lol ( but clearly, they were there to take their zzzzzz's, and I intruded.
I didn't worry them at all though, they kept their backs pretty much to me, and I had to work to get this one to look at me now and then, making sweet sounds at them, at which point, after a while the one who would look at me got bored and stopped looking at me, so I began making real loud quacking sounds, and it then started to turn and look at me,.. and if I do say so myself, in some of the shots, looking at them later, it strikes me like it was getting rather pissed off at the noise. When I got home and saw the facial expressions during upload it was then I remembered where I saw a similar expression (that video I uploaded, where the swan was attacking the dog? near the end when it turns back now and then to look at the dog.. Yep, the expression was similar )
In my excitement I didn't think of that at ALL though, not until looking at the pictures later. And then I had one of them "ut oh" moments. and "what if"??
I'm glad I didn't think of it then or I might have left. lol
But yeah. what an experience! And they did look so huge sitting there, and majestic. It's the truth that swans are really rather huge birds!
(one of the other white swans wouldn't open it's eyes for me for nothing! lol Got pics of him too.. But I tried my best to rouse him! sneaking through the bushes, making noise. but it wouldn't open its eyes.
Hopefully they forgave me for disturbing their slumber... They were clearly very tired; that point does show a lot in looking at the photos, later..
Anyway,... I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed getting them ... There will be about 19 more pics of them coming,.. I was just so excited at seeing them I got snap happy..
