From the British Druid Order: Awen-The Holy SpiritThe quest for Awen is a quest for the spirit of Druidry itself, and, as such, it brings together many paths. We may pursue the quest as historian, linguist, poet, philosopher, priest, magician, shaman, and in many other guises. Each, in its own way, helps us to gain understanding and, as we walk the Druid path, one of the things we discover is that in understanding lies strength.

I tried to make 'em look like the three rays of awen...but things, like ineptitude, happen. Still, it was fun to do.

Oh man, this is beautiful. How much work did you put into this? The light effect is gorgeous and that tattoos look so... sweet XD It almost looks like someone painted this entire thing <33

About three hours...the hardest part was painting over the model and the freaking light effects. Thank you so much! I got a new tablet toy so I'm playing with it a lot lately. Redoing some of my older stuff.

Nah, we painted the tattoos on her. It was a lot of fun, actually. In fact, I should paint myself blue while I'm at it.

you were indeed manipping! i like the semi transparent face there. it's actually well blended. i've seen others who have tried to pull that off but it didn't work. but here, it looks great

Yeah, the floaty face thing had me worried, but I figured that if I blended it in enough it wouldn't be a cancerous little splotch on an otherwise fine image. The little symbols were a lot of fun to do! And...they are actually old celtic carvings I've found on rock monuments from an age or two ago.
