Description
Two thousand days and two thousand nights. Life has changed since the raid. With my family gone, our future uncertain, I set out to chronicle my life record to pass the time. How long can a heart beat in an immortal chest before it grows too weak to go on? Time is a wise counselor, a wakeful and restless companion who drags me and my plight along with as I work feverishly over this book of days. My decision plagues me daily; how could I have known? The love of a human is what to the eyes of an elf? Who am I kidding...It could have meant everything.

Hmm, the offer of writing a story does sound interesting...maybe.
I like the aged feel of the image, and, of course, the description is very...well, descriptive and gives an fascinating take on the picture. Makes you wonder what the backstory is.

I could offer a more in-depth commentary...something about how the composition is wonderfully set, or maybe how the muted tones give this a dreamlike quality to match the expression on the subject's face, or perhaps a bit about how the detail on the treetrunk balances the wooden staff...
