What's this? A heart event?!
I threw lineart at birdmir and she made it BEAUTIFUL! Peter is such a fun character to RP with, so doing this was just as much a delight.
This takes place during the Star Festival, with the Staryu underneath them in the water just as the sun is disappearing over the distance. So romantic~!Β

The gesture made him tear up again as he bowed his head. Mom ruffled his hair like that. Peter couldn't talk, only sniff and look at Jem and feel his heart flip flop. But he wasn't going back, he wanted to say. He was going to go back to his job in Canalave, because to see her again would be to....he couldn't. Not to witness that. Not to be so near all his family. Jem....Jem was crying and somehow he could tell that not all the tears were in his sympathy. Some were from her own pain. Still sniffing , still quiet, he raised a hand to brush them away.

AHHH this is cute! Surprised I didn't find it earlier. This was a cute RP to read. It was a nice feelsy RP without being too heavy handed. I know sometimes they get like that. Plus I think it's sweet that both of them are profoundly moved by these things that happened to the, despite their magnitude? If that makes any sense. Like it's important. People are allowed to feel things even if they don't think anyone else gets it I AM DIGRESSING I like the mix of bold lines and organic squiggles and stuff! It's super cute. The shading is expertly done ;D

XD ANYWAYS thank you very much Kay! This was a lot of fun to work on. Besides Lin's pretty lines, the shading was this cool puzzle I had to figure out because there were all these different light sources.

Caustics are neat! I tend to go for Stone textures and cracks instead though. Ithe might be fun trying to render that sometime. Like on a building. Next to a roof

This is the most glorious of scenes~
It has a lovely nighttime atmosphere, and how I do adore the stars! The textures, colors, and lighting of this piece are balanced so well, I enjoy the cool, dreamy blues of the nightβs sky but am warmed by the glowing reds and violets~ It is a perfect mood piece. The lighting and colors work so well for a heart-event and the sentimentality of the piece is only further accented by the gorgeous dialogue, tender expressions, and the comfort they seem to take in each otherβs presence. The action in this is gentle and sweet.
It is truly a touching moment- it is simply beautiful.
And I am fascinated by the speckles, hand prints, and swirls decorated throughout!
