Description Hey everyone. Here is some idea I have been working on. It starts with a head and develops from there.

Thanks for looking!

So you didn't take art for college?

Well, I meant to say that I didn't go to college for creature/ concept work. My college degree was for painting and drawing, which focused more on fine art than concept art, illustration, and so on. I learned a lot, but not really anything related to what I wanted to do.

I do a lot of work and study on my own, which is where I get most of my ideas. I built up a good visual memory so things come to me pretty easily most of the time. It comes with a lot of practice and personal preference.

I thought so, most of my drawings are related to zombies or something.

Love it! Whenever I have an idea, it tends to start at the head and shoulders... and stops there..

I always like starting with the head first because that is what usually draws a persons attention immediately and sometimes I just stop there.

Yep! The head has the most detail too. Which makes the body usually pretty bland... Unless you add as much detail as you did in the head
(Side note: The bodies on your creatures are NOT bland )

Thanks a lot megarea! I am glad it comes off that way because I always find creature profiles to be a little hard when creating depth.
