As some/most/none of you know, I'm doing a monthly Vocaloid Video picture this year.

For August, I chose "World's End Umbrella" sung by Miku Hatsune.

I.... I failed. D: I didn't upload this yesterday. ; u; But I couldn't! The paint was still drying! And since school's started, my daytime has been slipping away~

I had started out with "A Song I'd Like to Sing" by Miku for August, but when I found World's End Umbrella I absolutely fell in love. The storyline is amazing, the art is so simply stylized, and the fact that no Vocaloid was actually in the PV really stood out for me.

World's End Umbrella is one of my favorite Vocaloid songs now. Maybe even overall favorite; it's just so different and amazing and ahhh, I could go on forever~

I decided to try something different and use watercolors for this piece. I didn't want to use colored pencils or digital, as the effect wouldn't be as soft as I wanted it. It was quite the learning experience, as it's my first "real" watercolor picture. Many, many thanks to 's lovely watercolor tutorial.
