The visor looks really cool. The helmet looks sort of like a sallet (though more squashed) and I think that the visor you drew would actually be more effective at deflecting things like arrows than typical sallet visors. The way it has grooves around the vital areas that slide back and around the face is good.

Dat rising/setting sun . . . incredibly pretty. And the armour itself looks neat! Not all armour has to be -directly- inspired from Medieval Europe. This looks amazing nonetheless.

Awesome job! I love the colors and the metal.
I think it probably looks Japanese because of the open visor and the long tail of the sallet. The lamellae might also be a bit wide, which is fine, but does look a bit Asian.

Inspiringly beautiful. I think it looks more Japanese because of the colors you used, and mostly because you added more of a darker steel tone with streaks and more intricate design than most knights are known for. I'm glad you made it like this, as it adds to the beauty; the sunset's lighting on the rest of the painting is just wonderful.

Yeah, you really did a great job. The skilled brush-strokes and colors make it look almost Pre-Raphaelite to me, but the knight himself is clearly a very seasoned and weather-beaten man and that's how he should be.
