Another beautiful shot! The flowers are all clean, bright, and the petals are in perfect condition. I like that it's not just the butterfly (moth?) in focus, but also some of the flowers in the scene--it helps to pull the the whole photo together into one cohesive scene, rather than just butterfly/moth and rendering the rest to background (which would work if the butterfly/moth were closer and larger and took up more of the photo, but this is a different kind of shot). I like this scene, with the butterfly/moth being a rather small subject as part of the field of flowers, and the fact that there are a few others parts of the photo in focus along the bottom and also the flower to the upper left make this more of a whole, inclusive scene than just a butterfly portrait--it gives the feeling of being in a field of lovely flowers and a butterfly lands on one next to you, more of a complete picture and a feeling of being there, than a simple shot of looking at an insect. Having other pieces of the photo in focus also helps to balance the whole photo--but having it be only a few flowers in a relatively shallow depth of field keeps it simple and elegant rather than chaotic. The butterfly/moth still stands out from the rest because the depth of field still blurs the flowers around and behind it and because of its different coloring, and gives the viewer's eye something to focus on amid the scene, and the crisp, clear focus makes the tiniest of details pop out--like the insect's eyes and markings. Really beautiful.
