Her voice caught on the word friend. Percy was a lot more than that. Even boyfriend really didn’t cover it. They’d been through so much together, at this point Percy was part of her—a sometimes annoying part, sure, but definitely a part she could not live without.
Ok, this doesn’t happen in the scene of the book … but I was interested to recreate the atmosphere.
This was what I wanted in the fifth book! Not the percabeth … well … actually I wanted a different ending for percabeth but now I digress.
I speak of the pathos of the fourth book, pathos that I haven’t felt in the fifth book (I admit I was somewhat prejudiced because my four favorite among the seven had no pov, not to mention that the character I disliked has a pov <- I will not say who it is because the argument isn’t to be addressed here but elsewhere)
However, I respect those not in agreement. For my opinion House of Hades is the best book of the saga and nobody can persuade me otherwise
