Description
Sleetfall sees some Steepclan kits, Driftkit and Hollykit, playing in the clearing, while another Steepclan kit, Rosekit, sits and watches shyly. Sleetfall feels his heart swell with pride, but is worried about Rosekit, so he goes to ask her why she isn't playing along. She explains that she's too shy and worried to play with the other kits, and is afraid she won't do good enough. He explains to her that it's alright to be shy, but it's also good to branch out and play. As she's about to respond, the other two kits notice Sleetfall and Hollykit races to talk to him. Driftkit is annoyed that Hollykit isn't going to keep playing, but he bitterly follows. Sleetfall tells all the kits how impressed he is with their battle skills, and how proud he is of the growing generation of kits. As he speaks of his pride, he makes sure to look Rosekit dead in the eyes, making sure she knows she's just as loved.
