Located between the Sutherlands and the Republic of Arcadia , the lands of the Amazons are thick with both fog and jungles. The only known and charted route through lies along the Old Imperial Way, an ancient road built back in the days of antiquity by the now defunct Old Kingdom – a measure meant to bring some of civilization and trade in and through their lands to the Republic. Those caught wandering off this beaten path are punished severely (usually by death), hunted either by wild Amazon patrols or attacked by the dangers of the very hostile, indigenous wildlife.

Strict secrecy has been heavily enforced in the Amazons, especially by Kith Aralia (the ruling kith who are also considered to be the defacto Royal Family). Such measures were enacted long ago to prevent foreign powers from territory has often resulted in campaigns of brutal and bloody guerilla warfare against such invading forces - whom wander aimlessly through the jungles looking for a target to strike but to no avail.
However, if one travels to the far south of their lands (and as far away as possible from the Old Imperial Way), then you may come across the greatest city within the Amazon Kinship: the Emerald Veil.

The Emerald Veil is the largest and most secretive of locations to the Amazon Kiths. It is the cultural center and heart of their people, as well as the principal seat of power to the Amazon Queen. The city is largely protected and shrouded from prying eyes by the many cascading falls in the nearby valley; heavy mists of water kicking up just over the jungle canopy and treetops while dotted mountains and thick fog complete the city’s barriers of natural protection.

To the few outsiders permitted to enter the Emerald Veil, those that do are often blindfolded and escorted by the Queen’s Guard through various twisting paths and trails - all designed in order to disorient ‘honored’ guests from reporting the location of their city back to their homes. Lastly, the skies over the entirety of their homeland are patrolled by the elite Mist Maidens; famed experts at low-altitude dog-fighting and highly capable of darting in and out of the heavy fog to attack would be trespassers – all the while avoiding the many mountains and hills that dot the landscape.
