Yesterday I came across one of these guys in the road who'd most likely been hit by a car. I took him home so my fiancé and I could find a rescue to take him to, but the poor thing died in my arms right when we were about to leave. I see these birds every so often in fields in large flocks and I always thought they were so gorgeous. Because we always see the white ones in people's yards but these glossy ones always fascinated me. I keep thinking about the little guy and wanted to pay a sort of tribute to him.

Anyway, I was just happy he crossed my path and he could at least die peacefully. Please look out for and help injured animals on the road!
