But much as I hate to say it, with the claws and lack of eyestalks what you have there is an Eye of the Deep rather than a standard Beholder.

Thank you. It's a sketch. In the final version I'll add the eyestalks and maybe will draw a picture of an Eye of the Deep in more submarine-like design.
