ZOMIGOD MORE ANIMAL COLLECTIVE.
And I love Leaf House. Not as much as Bluish or Visiting Friends, but the song is still a classic.

This drawing also looks VERY Dr Seuss. I still love Dr Sess. The clouds and oddly-couloured things are SO his style.

Leaf House is probably by favorite song on Sung Tongs, I love Visiting Friends too though.

Yeah, there was a bit of Dr. Seuss inspiration in this one. I honestly don't think I made this oddly-colored enough, it looks very normal and bland compared to my other works.

I guess I prefer the really long songs by Animal Collective Have you heard Merriweather Post Pavilion yet?

Have you ever seen Grinch Night by Dr Seuss (the TV special)? I own it on VHS and when I was a kid it was my FAVOURITE THING ON THE PLANET along with Nightmare Before Christmas. And I found it in my basement this weekend and OHMIGOD DEATH BY NOSTALGIA. If it's on youtube or something, you should watch it, especially the song "Grinch is Gonna Get Ya" (sound stupid, but trust me it's awesome).
I wouldn't call it bland by any means, just more anchored--more of a cohesive piece. Not that your crazy ones are bad, of course!

I've heard some stuff from Merriweather Post Pavilion, I don't tend to go by album when checking out a band's music, I kind of just listen to random songs.

I've never heard of it, but I'll be sure to check it out. I just know that I had a VHS that had The Big Brag, Yertle the Turtle, and Gertrude McFuzz all on it and I freaking LOVED it and would watch it like every week. And Nightmare Before Christmas was one of my absolute favorites as well!

Yeah, I used to listen to music song-by-song too. But I feel now that you can get an overall feeling and atmosphere from an album as a whole that is lost on individual songs so I guess that's why I always go album by album now.
And I don't know if you'd have interst but I found out about this band called Moby. At first I didn't like them... they're mostly pop-ish dance band, which sucks, but a metalhead friend of mine was talking about this album of theirs called Ambient and I thought it was amazing. Here: [link] It's got great atmosphere. Apparently they have a couple albums like this; I'll have to listen to those.

I know of those
Nightmare Before Christmas will always be a favourite. I remember everyone I knew when I was 4 or 5 were afraid of that movie.

I don't know why, but I've never really liked going album by album. I'm a really disorganized person so I like to just jump from one random song to another and figure out which ones I really like, then I find out which songs are on which album as I become more knowledgeable about the band.
I've heard of Moby, but I've never really bothered to listen to any of his stuff. I'll totally check out that album if you say it's good, though.

Ha. I don't think anyone my age who I knew had even heard of it. I just remember that there was one time in like grade 2 when I was really sick and out of school for a week, and I watched it every single day until I got better.

WEll, I listened to one of the later Moby albums and didn't like it at all. So far Ambient is the only thing by them that I like.

WEll, I watched a lot of the Seuss stuff when I was a kid, so I've heard of a lot of it. I also remember this DR Seuss thing about this kid with a magic piano that could travel from place to place, though I forget what it's called.
Sounds like me when I used to get sick and play through my video games
