I remember during my second playthrough I messed up and romanced the wrong character because I was equally nice to the both of them and I made a couple of stupid dialogue choices. It was a real pain since I did almost all the extra missions then when it came to a certain key point in the main story, my shepard was interacting with the other LI because of wrong dialogue choices I made. I had to backtrack a lonnngggg way to undo it, and doing so, I threw away all the effort I put into the extra missions. JUST TO GET THE RIGHT LI IN THE END.

really? you can't romance Ashley? cause I would really rather Ashley than Liara (I just finished that Saren's-Krogan-breeding-facility-blow-up quest and I had to sacrifice her...made me so sad

If you're playing with a femShep you can only romance Kaidan or Liara, but if you're playing with MaleShep, you can romance Ashley or Liara. You can romance Liara with both male/femSheps because she's not really a male/female (as with all Asaris) It's kinda unfair lol because it still looks as if it's a lesbian relationship between her and femShep.
LOL and you're at that part already na pala haha (malapit na yung kilig parts with Kaidan!!) BTW, is Wrex still alive in your playthrough?
And yeah, I've played ME2. IT'S SO FUCKING AWESOME! You should play it after you finish ME1... import your save file from ME1 to ME2 so your decisions will be carried over to the next game. It's a lot tougher with the decisions though... because you can't really tell what'll happen in the dialogue choices.

yup, i went super paragon and managed to save Wrex! woot! but, yeah, i'm thinking of re-doing ME1, going male and filling both renegade and paragon gauge and see how much we can change gameplay having both options available. def romancing Ashley on that too! haha, screw Liara...she gives me the creeps!
omg, ME2 is way harder T_T i died like 8 times in the Horizon quest and then Kaiden goes on to break my heart (asshole got over me in 2 years!? that was infuriating!!). can you romance Grunt the Krogan this time 'round?? he seems appropriately named...*wink

OH lol you're playing ME2 now? bilis ah haha! And yeah, Horizon screwed many fans over (that's why a lot left the Kaidan/Ashley fandom.. because of their reaction in Horizon) but Bioware says if you "cheat" on your original LI in ME1, there'll be consequences in ME3. Unfortunately, you still can't romance Krogans >_< lol but you can romance Garrus and Thane.
Almost everybody LOVES Garrus, I like him too but not THAT much. he's more like a "bro" to my shepard than a LI. Thane on the other hand.. he's really charming(though, him spacing out can be weird sometimes). In my first playthrough (with gay shepard) I remained loyal to Kaidan. I just hope Bioware can give us fans a chance to win back our LIs in ME1 ><

haha, i'm playing normal mode (dom's playing insane mode, which is...well, insane) probably why i went through it so fast. is Thane's voice Altair's? i dunno, it sounds really familiar.
you can remain faithful?? do i just not flirt with anyone? shit, i think i may have accidentally flirted with Jacob. i chose option the bottom option when i said goodbye to him (to be mean and therefore not love him) but then femShepard was said/purred, "You can't brush me off that easy, Mr. taylor (i think that's his last name)" like really alluringly. i was really tempted to re-load but i tought, 'well, if she flirted with the bottom option...wtf would she do if i chose the top option??'

If you remain faithful, there's a sort of bonus scene which will make you go "AWWWW" before the last mission. I know that scene just made me miss Kaidan more
I'm not quite sure if you can still break your relationship with Jacob if you keep choosing the renegade(bottom) option in convos... I do know that you CAN break up with some characters... not sure when that convo will come up though.

Well, you still have to talk to him for his loyalty mission ... joker will notify you about it, he'll say sumthin like "jacob has some concerns he'd like to talk to you about". Same goes for the loyalty missions for other characters. You need all of em to be loyal if you want everyone to survive the last mission. And you need to upgrade all the stuff for the normandy or else someone will die on your final mission.
If there's someone I wish I could romance besides Kaidan, it'd be Joker. He's so funny and awesome!

In the Xbox version, there's a character called Kelly Chambers that is pretty much your PA/psychologist and she's the one that tells you when you have a message--not Joker. That's pretty cool, I wonder what else is the difference between the gaming platforms.
