I've been sick and stuck in my house so i took a crack at coloring this amazing dragon. this is the [link] to the image with full credits to you and a link to this stunning image. I hope that you're not mad about me posting it and if so I will gladly remove it.

hey there! Sorry abuot not responding in a timely manner. Thank you for all your considerations and asking me if you can color it. As long as you mention line art was done by me with a link back to my page (as I see you have done) then it is perfectly Kosher by me. I am flattered that you colored it and I think you did a wonderful job!

try inking it or outlining it with a thin (VERY, VERY, THIN) marker.

I love the tail though! I actually have a friend whose 'character' I'm designing and I was updating her today and the tail is a tad bit similar to this one. =o Anyhoooooooo, mind if I watch?

Lovely dragon!
I can't give advice on CG lineart, since I do everything completely by hand nowadays, lineart AND coloring with prismacolor pencils.

If you know how to use a paint program well enough you don't need to worry about line work.
What you have there is for the most part clearer than what I usually work with on my own pictures for example.

The main thing is learning how to use layers.

I avoid straight linework on the computer. It kills me
Great work though!

Yes, making things CG'able is hard. -_- It's a lot easier if you have a tablet. However, I don't have one, so I can't tell you how to use them. However, you can download OpenCanvas from portalgraphics.net and retrace the lines on a new layer. That's what I do. It takes a while, though. Most things done on a computer do, though. -_-

Wow, nice dragon! I found a way to do linearts really nicely and clean, but you have to have about 26 bucks to spare. Go to an art store and look for something called a Light Box tracer. It's pretty much the bottom part of an overhead projector. While you're there, get some nice outlining pens, preferably those really skinny felt tips. Take your sketch and a clean, white sheet of paper. Tape your sketch pencil-side-down to the clean paper with masking tape. Turn on the lightbox and put the paper on the tracer sketch-side-down. Carefully trace your sketch onto the clean paper with the pen. If you mess up or something, just get a new piece of clean paper and start over. When your done, viola! No more scratchy lines and erasurs!! Hope that helps!

Gahh... I don't like making things CG-friendly. Erk.

Well, some general tips for CGing
+Do you pencil work extremely lightly, any slight smudging can turn into a pain in the booty to clean up.
+Try to make your lines very tight and strong and just generally a lil thicker then normal, like a coloring book . Sketchiness is generally another pain in the booty once you're on the computer.
+Invest in a good program... such as Adobe Photoshop :3

Also, in some areas where normally you might feel you want to get a lil loose n sketchy n suchsuch, try varying the line width. :3

Very basic... but I feel I should pay attention to what the artist is asking for
