There is no proof that Daemon had any of the administrative talents of Daeron, who was one of the best kings Westeros ever had. A great warrior does not necessarily make a good king.

it's not confirmed but there may still be some left. the male blood line ended in the war of the ninepenny kings but the female line might still be around and who knows maybe one of them had a son or two.

My money is on this new Aegon that has appeared is actually a descenedent of the blackfyre line.

Have you read the Dunk and Egg short stories? If not I would highly recommend them as they are set about 100 years before the events in A Song of Ice and Fire saga and give you lots of little tidbits of information that is important in what is happening in Westeros in the current time period. I believe George's next short story is entitled She Wolves of Winterfell.
