concept art for another potential children's book. the climax of the story is when the little girl sees her mother crying as she embraces her husband, saying goodbye. this is just practicing with watercolor and the pose and expression of the parents.

during my junior review, it was recommended that i shift away from the "cute" style for children's books and instead incorporate the "abstract" style for storytelling. i know why this was suggested and i'm more than happy to try my best, but that doesnt mean i'm giving up on my adorable little kitties and puppies :3 anyway, i felt that this story is the perfect opportunity for the emotional, abstracted aesthetic.

so yeah.
