Kinda an older piece... most of this was done months ago. I just finished up the shading so I'd have something to upload tonight. (Trying to upload at least once a week.) Done in Flash... which I kinda miss working in but for some reason, it keeps messing up with my dual monitors so I have to keep hitting the display toggle. :/

RAMBLE TIME:

So, here's Tryn and Djinn. I made them up in highschool but I wouldn't say they evolved over time. Through most of college I didn't give them much thought and never drew them, but recently I figured hey, why not revisit them. I drew them waaaaay more than I've drawn any other characters. I mean there were a few solid months where I drew them almost exclusively. Nowadays I'm always bouncing from story to story and don't focus on any given one that much.

Anyway. Tryn's about the same as she was when I created her, but I updated her wardrobe a bit. She used to go around in a spaghetti strap and sweatpants. Oi. I was pushing the whole "unkepmt, not really caring about appearance" thing but that was a bit much. And yes, her name is kinda dumb. I realized that even in high school, but decided her mom was a bit of an airhead who wanted her daughter to be unique. Some people assume Tryn's short for Trynity (Trinity? Trynyti? lulz) but it's not.

Djinn, on the other hand, has gotten a considerable revamp. He was always on the goofy, fun-loving side but he wasn't overly flirtatious. Now he is. I figured I need to diversify my characters more, so I'm trying to work with personalities that I really haven't been. I hardly ever write guys being overly flirtatious unless they're more of a villain type. Sooo, think Tamaki from Ouran (minus any fixation with being a dad >.>) and you've got a pretty close mental image of new-Djinn. Also, his original skintone was... about the same as Tryn's. OTL

And, despite me not drawing much of my original stuff in anime-style these days, these two are very much anime/manga-type characters. So they still get drawn in that style. :3
