for larger groups of family we had to make it became a bit more dificult to make it something based on love or the such (and I avoided to draw families with kids since I do not like kids) so I went into a more tribe/colony/asexually formed families.

I imagine these spirits are born from when you spill your drink on the kitchen counter , and any drops you miss from cleaning just roll off and gain their own life. I also imagine them to be a subspecies of brownie/boggart, some helping in the kitchen, some wrecking havoc, and some just chillin' around and causing stuff like a nice smell, a warm atmosphere or a cozy feel, like when you sit in front of the fireplace with a hot cocoa and biscuits next to you, and you just dooze off wit a kitty on your lap.

Since we also had to base our characters off of stuff we owned irl, they all wear cups I own! The coffe one has a cup I painted myself, and the vota is in a miniature gold cup I inherited. I also matched the cup with the liquid I drink most often from it! Except votka, I usually drink that straight from the bottle...
