Oh, thank you! I'm so glad you noticed, but I should mention that I used a reference for the outlines, I only re-drew it and colored it to see how rusty my skills with watercolors were back then. '^^

WOW! This is a quantum leap from traditional anime stylized faces. Sometimes I am blown away by how talented you are becoming SO FAST! It still looks a bit washed out and monochromatic across the face, but her face is simply lovely, and we all know you can paint roses well. I notice it isn't your hair color or style so can i take that to mean this isn't a self portrait?

Waah thank chu otosan! But yet again...... It's a painting musume did about half a year ago x3 she was just curious to see how rusty her skills at drawing realisticaly have become so she took a reference picture of some lady and painted it. It sure was fun, but as it is stated in the title, it was just a simple warm-up that took no longer than 15 minutes. The purpose of it was to have fun and find out where I am with my art skills now (at the time). And musume sure has found out lots of things from just this quick little doodle! Like the fact that she doesn't know how to paint hair, or that she's got the basics of the skin tones so that's fine, or the fact that she still sucks at backrounds and that she still gotta practice the 'dry-on-wet' technique. Either way, musume is glad chu like it, and she feels pretty amused by otosan being so amazed by her OLDER paintings, always thinking that she improved while the truth is that it's just a fragment of the past xD
And of course not otosan! Chu can see that from the drawings where musume draws herself, she has black hair and dark eyes! (They're usually closed because musume doesn't like them very much, but yesh. In one or two colored drawings of herself where she has open eyes, she colors them with a dark color) and musume looks faaaaaaaaaar from the way that this pretty lady does. She looks more like a potato!

Well I may not know the ways and looks of potatoes. I feel bad about my mistaken assumptions, again. I hope I did not discourage you. I really did like the more realistic feel, and if you learned a lot from it then it was well worth while. I hope I did not discourage you by making a big deal about an old work. Obviously I had no idea.
