I have to agree with AzraNoxx, making his armor colored definitely was a good way of making him stand out compared to the black and white. Seriously though, this is pretty amazing, the detail is excellent, just excellent in my opinion. I imagine this must have taken a long time to finish, it deserves more feedback.. I also can't forget about the background.. very eerie.
I honestly wish I could give some useful feedback, but all I can say is.. just Amazing, don't stop drawing!
I also like how you drew his face, Gabriel was pretty awesome in Lords of Shadow, and I can't wait to see more of him in the series.

I started to like mixing ordinary pencils with the coloured ones. I will try to do more drawings like that.

Personally, I wouldn't worry too much about it, It's good for what it is, and how it was drawn fits very well with the picture over all.. In my opinion.
