my first ever steven universe oc!! shes gone through three redesigns now, and this time i also tweaked her colors as well. im particularly fond of her homeworld outfit (left)!! what do you think?

abilities; speed, she can zip behind a corner or pop out to shoot something at inhuman speeds. however she cannot use this ability to do something like run somewhere super fast, its really only a stealth thing. she can also shapeshift, like most gems.

occupation; former assassin-for-hire under black diamond (more about her eventually), n/a at the moment.

personality; the chillest gem you will ever meet. somehow both professional and casual at the same time, onyx likes to have a plan but doesnt mind changing it on the fly. she's super neutral on most things and doesnt have very strong opinions, however that doesnt mean she is swayed easily. she prefers not to really have an opinion at all and you have to give her a damn good reason to either side with you or not. one thing she is passionate about is whatever job she is doing, as she was created to be that way. thus, she also is super protective of things she holds close (like coral and tourmaline) and will do anything for them if they asked her too. she is inherently unstinting and she has to get to know you before letting you into her circle. otherwise, she is generally friendly. she also has a great dry sense of humor!

facts; loves everything about earth culture, especially is fond of history and folklore. she is an avid reader and originally had a hard time telling fictional works from things that actually happened. sometimes she still gets bamboozled. she has dated a few humans in her time on earth. is extremely uncomfortable with fusion, but does it with coral because she loves her that much that she will suffer for her smol precious gf.
