Oh, I love this gun! I'd love to get one of my own one day soon.(in .40 Smith & Wesson, to me, this just seems like one of those handguns that looks ideal for the .40 Smith and Wesson)

What really confuses me is the Beretta 8000 and the Stoeger Cougar. Are they the same gun? Is the Stoeger Cougar a licensed-built clone? I know the only real difference is the company brand on the grips, but other than that, I really can't see any other differences in terms of the design.

Stoeger Industries is a subsidiary of Beretta. Marketing & distribution of the Cougar was transferred to the company a few years back.
