I love it to bits.
There are so many things here that allow us to imagine a story for Emily... a long journey, with a memory behind, a place to return to. Really beautiful colours enlace it all.

Oh yes, Emilie is coming back and eventually it will be a little book, write sentences / thoughts in my notebook ...

you're more then welcome Kay! have a wonderful time ...
I often dream of Portugal, that was a time I will never forget
picturesque village in the hinterland of the Algarve on the edge of the Serra de Caldeirão and Alte and enjoy the charm of a real Algarve village...So much seen in Portugal and since I am not a beach person, met many great people and the food was unique

Gee, that is a beautiful place, I went there once, had quite a nice time... it is in between provincies and shows a great deal of what it is most part of the mediterrean landscape that I know. Lovely to visit when Spring covers everything with green and wild flowers.
I like the beach but not when it is crowded, (Algarve is crowded all year, so its not for me) I love to hear the sounds from the sea not necessarily big waves, gentle ones will do, without the interference of humans... (oh boy, now it might sound selfish of me) so I like the little hidden beaches... Good to visit and spend time in the fall and part of winter, when the weather isn't dangerous. One can find some beautiful peebles and shells on the way.

You speak to me of the soul, I like the beach too, but not if this one

is so crowded and the volume annoys me then, as country and meet people and enjoy the fabulous nature.

I felt very comfortable from the beginning. No, it does not sound selfish of you, on the contrary, I'm completely on your side.

You make me jealous straight, lol time of autumn and part of winter that sounds also si poetic ...

I love this country simply and its people including my dear Kay!

Oh, the artist village was not so crowded and we were always lucky we have wonderful quiet pitches Have found and really found secret places of the sea, a short walk, but it was worth it. I love the rocky Algarve and Kap-Rock ...

That's what we had done in France and Spain before.

But Portugal totally flashed me ... I felt at home

Unfortunately I don't travel that much as it turns to be expenseful even for locals.
I know what you mean... people and places are more cozy and friendly one more than others, and when nature simply fills one eyes, its paradise enough for the soul.
Praia-da-Rocha (as you say rocky Algarve) is mesmerising and the vila is fantastic. I know best what is close to where I live which is Cabo-da-Roca (kap-rock as you say) and the fabulous Sintra, a place I adore.
I believe you would love to visit the North of the country, Porto and the great Rio D'Ouro, closer to the roots where it all began. Guess what it is filled with the best vineyards ever, the place of the real original Port wine (equal the city) not the copies... and not just that.

little-one-girl In reply to Kay-March [2018-09-13 14:10:17 +0000 UTC]

You have paradise at your feet and I do not want to go elsewhere if I could live there ...!

OK, I've heard a lot about everyday life and met many people but I know that most people there have to work hard too.

You're right, I never had any problems with that People and their culture because I accepted and criticized ..

France - Spain - Portugal - I was always kindly received and also answered questions concerning Germany (war - Hitler) .... I did not tire of explaining it in this respect and to tell my family story as well as possible and I got a lot of feeling back and friends.
Then you live in the middle of the wonderful Portugal and clear Port and the delicious red port wine and there is still a rare white sweet wine, you are blessed with your beautiful country
I would like to visit you,  but I know you will live and love my Portugal for me ....

It's my personal belief that if we try to respect other cultures it's the only and best way to live side by side... we can have a conversation without a discussion... history is what history is, we can learn with it and correct errors so that they won't happen again... after all we should be "civilesed" by now... doubt of the word reached the hears of the powers that rule though.
Ordinary people always have to struggle hard, anywhere... I suppose this is why as we meet foreign people we get along so well.

hi hon ..my eye is much better now just about 98% and still improving its your happy thoughts and love that helped fix me my dear      i'm so happy its cooled for you hon haha i'm a nut patty i'm already thinking past Autumn and bought a new xmas tree already  a small one only 4 feet high with colored led lights ..   my old one died last year i know it won't happen hon but i'd love nothing more than do an old fashion xmas with you put on some xmas carrols decorate the tree while sipping wine followed by a small dinner ..light a fire in the fireplace turn down the lights to view the tree better maybe roast some chestnuts to nosh on while we cuddle close together on the sofa taking in all the ambiance  and then most likely we'd fall asleep   ..mit liebe mein Patricia

I am very pleased that your eye has become much better and hope that it stays that way, friends are always there in good and bad times, the latter counts
dopplet, so my thoughts are.
Haha you have bought a real christmas tree, it would be a pity if trees are felled then i am always sad. I also know you love christmas and a big fan and i just as inherited with mom.
I have an artificial, which comes very close to a real 88%.
I miss a fireplace, I like wooden houses / cabins with simple fireplaces

i do not like this snobby place and the blink is blinking ... horrible.

eat drink sofa fall asleep peaceful and happy Christmas time

thank you for the kind thoughts on my eye hon yes thats true about good friends always being there no mater what

no no hon its a fake tree with lights already on it ..i got the newer  LED  lights cause they are so much brighter and colorful than the traditional ones as you might have noticed on the new cars headlights and tail lights these days the hardest part of setting it up comes after you pull it from the box and painstakingly fix all the branches to look normal after being squeezed int the box  i'll take a pic after i set it up in December...i miss having a real tree biut they are not allowed in this building only imitation trees but it'll look good  hon especially in the dark all lite up i might need new ornaments mine are pretty old and beat up ..i might try using small red bows they are cheap but a pain to attach   i use them on the front lobby tree that i decorate here every xmas its a cute 6 foot tree with clear lights and the red bows like quite nice on it nothing else just a shit load of bows ..i feel red and green with the clear lights look nice i get many compliments from visitors ''

well you do realize that country house i keep dreaming of      will have a huge fireplace made of stone with a huge wooden mantle to hang our stockings for old St.  Nicholas  to fill haha    haha if only dreams came true patty if only
can you explain when you say i hate this snobby place and the meaning of the blink is blinking ?? please hon i need to know whats upseting you cause we is dear friends and i care bout you hon you know that
